I was born in 1981 and I've been fascinated by art and music since a young age. By the age of 16 they dominated nearly everything I did and I've been painting, drawing, creating music and playing in bands ever since. After a conversation with a stranger on a bus up to Leeds a few years ago, I realised that it was all in an effort to communicate.

I paint things I like and the things I find beautiful. I paint the people that have surrounded me in my life, to express something about them but also to try and understand something about myself. I paint for other people, to help them solidify an emotion either for themselves or for someone else.

I'm currently living and working in Brighton.
